Ring Ceremony Today for Juniors and Seniors

The College of Arkansas Official Ring embodies the custom of this nice college and symbolizes the achievements and shared experiences of its graduates. Chancellor Joseph Steinmetz will current juniors and seniors who bought the official ring on the Winter Official Ring Ceremony at 5 p.m. immediately, Dec. 1, on the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni Home.

To rejoice this custom, Arkansas Alumni Affiliation workers will ring the Toller Celebration Bell tonight.

The Official Ring custom started in 2002. A committee of scholars, alumni, school and directors joined collectively for the frequent purpose of growing this new custom. This devoted group devoted greater than a yr to forming the rules of the custom and designing the ring. After cautious consideration, Jostens was chosen to create the ring from the committee’s design and to provide the ring for the college. The traditional operating Razorback leaping by way of the “A” reminds us of our robust athletic traditions. The oak leaves morph into many arms, highlighting campus range and the really distinctive custom of “Calling the Hogs!”
