5 Flagler County residents indicted in cross-country drug conspiracy

Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly, joined by Sherri E. Onks, FBI Jacksonville Field Office special agent in charge, Roger B. Handberg, United States Attorney Middle District of Florida, and Marcus Anderson, Drug Enforcement Administration Orlando District assistant special agent in charge, at a press conference Monday, May 8, 2023, announcing nine arrests during Operation Ice Man, an investigation of a drug-trafficking organization accused of transporting methamphetamine and cocaine from Phoenix and Los Angeles to central Florida.

5 Flagler County residents, together with a father and two sons, have been amongst 9 indicted on federal prices in a cross-country drug-trafficking operation, regulation enforcement officers introduced throughout a press convention Monday in Bunnell.

Alfred Lamar Shavers, 48, and his sons, Camarie Dontre Shavers, 23, and Alfred Lamar Shavers Jr., 26, all of Bunnell, have been amongst these arrested as a part of Operation Ice Man, Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly stated.

The elder Shavers was charged with drug-trafficking conspiracy and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He faces a compulsory minimal of 15 years in jail and as much as life in federal jail, in line with regulation enforcement. Each of his sons have been indicted on drug-trafficking conspiracy and every faces a compulsory minimal of 5 years and as much as 40 years in jail.
