1. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Sekiro is an impressive evolution of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s “Soulsborne” genre with beautiful new settings, refined combat mechanics and an engaging narrative that will keep players coming back for more.

Sekiro gently eases you into its steep learning curve with an intuitive tutorial, then continues teaching movement, combat, sneaking and eavesdropping through Sculptor’s Idols that act as places for reflection and training. Sekiro stands apart from other FromSoftware titles by not offering multiplayer; rather, the developer believes this would limit its single-player experience and potentially introduce unnecessary limitations into gameplay. As an alternative, users can still fight previously defeated bosses while altering his outward appearance with Sculptor Statues; an “Additional Features Update” due out later this year will add new gameplay options like being able to rematch enemies as well as Gauntlets of Strength for additional single-life challenges.

2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

As The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim marks its 10-year anniversary, Bethesda’s flagship franchise still has plenty to offer gamers seeking more adventure in their lives. With its vast open world setting filled with cool monsters, incredible lore, and plenty of side quests that keep players hooked for years, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim still provides gamers with plenty of entertainment value.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s predecessor, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, is another classic adventure game worthy of exploration. Upon release, its immersive world and two-wield combat delighted gamers and made it one of the greatest video games ever produced.

Other great adventures games to consider include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Nintendo’s Breath of the Wild – two sandbox-style open world games with beautiful environments that provide an excellent way to immerse yourself in an immersive fantasy world full of intricate lore and intriguing enemies. Middle-earth: Shadow of War is another excellent option that combines an open world experience with an intricate narrative revealed through your actions; magic spells can also be unleashed against orcs in this adventure title!

3. Deus Ex Human Revolution

Deus Ex Human Revolution was groundbreaking both with its gameplay and story. A prequel to the original Deus Ex, Human Revolution follows Adam Jensen – a mechanically enhanced agent – through various missions. Ubisoft Montreal made sure their team understood exactly what was required of them in creating Deus Ex games by having each member play through both original titles multiple times before creating Human Revolution’s gameplay elements of combat, stealth and social interaction into perfect blend.

Deus Ex was an extremely complex world for a game released in 1999, featuring newspapers that alluded to an international anti-terrorist organization and secretive scientists trying to unlock the human brain. While its story borrowed heavily from sources such as The Matrix, Blade, Mondo 2000, The Exorcist and even Max Headroom TV show itself – its level of heightened reality made it work beautifully.

While its graphics may not be anything to write home about – though mods may help – those willing to look past that will discover one of the greatest adventure games ever made. Fans of Deus Ex can look forward to Arkane Studios Dishonored coming out sometime around 2020; continuing from where Deus Ex left off.

4. Bioshock

Bioshock was ahead of its time when it released in 2007, creating an immersive and terrifying world with Rapture and its genetically modified Splicers/Big Daddies being key features of gaming history. Bioshock also laid the groundwork for future games to explore impossible societies or universes like those found in 2017 version of Prey or Star Citizen sci-fi game.

Irrational’s original masterpiece is an expert study in world-building, with every element from art deco to plasmids and Big Daddies serving a purpose in its environment. It provides a subtle yet unnerving commentary on religious fanaticism, social repression and scientific arrogance that resonates throughout.

BioShock 2 was not nearly as well received, yet remains an outstanding first-person shooter with its unique setting and intriguing gameplay mechanics. Plasmids provide an interesting way to approach combat with some truly brutal attacks against Splicers who may attack from close quarters.

5. Far Cry 6

Far Cry series has long perfected the formula of open world mayhem and Far Cry 6 is no exception, featuring one of its biggest maps yet and transporting players to a fictional island nation ruled by Anton Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad fame).

6. GRIS

Gris is the perfect example of what video games should aspire to become: art. With stunning visuals — each still can stand as its own piece of artwork — brought to life through delicate animation and an atmospheric original score, each interaction with its world provides an evocative experience. From traversing scorching desert landscapes in stage one to scaling decorative buildings in stages two and three or swimming through sparkling streams underwater in stage three provides a stirring and memorable journey.

The game offers an assortment of puzzles that require dexterity and finesse to solve, from platforming sequences to complex finger gymnastics – providing both challenging and frustrating gameplay experiences.

Stage four’s depression stage requires Gris to swim through an imposing cavern filled with water as an analogy for her inner turmoil. She quickly overcame this obstacle by accepting and harnessing wind that had previously held her back; using her new heavy ability (double jump) for navigation over greater distances – an experience which proved truly inspiring and upbeat.

7. Outer Wilds

Outer Wilds draws its inspiration from games like Zork, Myst and other classic titles which put players into unfamiliar worlds and trusted them to use their wits to escape. This results in an engaging playground that promotes exploration and introspection.

The game features a dense galaxies of planets that revolve around one central sun, each one offering their own visual identity and hiding mysterious secrets to discover. From Timber Hearth’s dry desert sands to Nomai inscriptions’ crystalized remnants, your world awaits exploration – and is always shifting and shifting!

Outer Wilds provides players with a thrilling exploration experience across five planets, featuring numerous puzzles protected by hazardous environments and natural catastrophes that provide challenges that provide hours of gameplay – but those willing to put in the time will discover an unforgettable adventure, rewarding them with an incredible sense of achievement when unlocking each clue they uncover!

Those who enjoyed Outer Wilds will find Echoes of the Eye an excellent sci-fi adventure that offers warmth, optimism, fearfulness, tragedy and sorrow all in equal measures. Furthermore, players get a chance to see our solar system for what it really is rather than through human perspective alone.

8. Nier Automata

NieR is an exceptional and unforgettable gaming experience, and its sequel continues to surprise. Under director Yoko Taro’s direction lies an unprecedented level of creativity – taking risks with both game design and storytelling has paid off hugely in this regard.

NieR Automata’s world is both beautiful and haunting; you will visit cities and kingdoms where humans once thrived while encountering machines that have exterminated humanity entirely.

Combat is fast and exciting as you combine light and heavy combos with your Pod to take down large machine threats. This gameplay combines elements from RPGs, shooters, and action games into an engaging experience that won’t quickly pass.

NieR Automata’s story is captivating, featuring a captivating blend of drama and humor as it poses profound philosophical questions about life itself. No matter whether you are playing through its main narrative or exploring side quests, Automata will keep you gripped until its credits roll – though even then you won’t really be done as the game offers multiple endings and new events that keep the plot fresh!
