New King Kong Game Has You Avenging Your Monkey Parents
King Kong video game players must now avenge their monkey parents by punching through waves of dinosaurs and other flesh-eating beasts, from dinosaurs with spear-wielding heads to those equipped with polygonal hips for increased accuracy. Many of the beasts look impressive; one brontosaurus, however, could use more polygons around its hips.
This game follows the film’s narrative fairly closely and includes plenty of heart-pounding action sequences. Set for release later this year on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.

King Kong will make a long-awaited comeback to video games following an extended absence. Aside from appearing briefly in Call of Duty: Warzone’s Godzilla vs King Kong event in 2017, this iconic gorilla hasn’t appeared since Ubisoft’s 2005 game based on Peter Jackson’s movie.
GameMill Entertainment and Iguanabee’s new King Kong game promises to deliver classic gameplay while adding modern elements for today’s gamers. Players will explore Skull Island with its treacherous terrains ranging from jungles, swamps and dark caves; exotic flora and fauna will be unlocked along with secrets about its history; while gameplay will see Kong grow from being an unskilled young Kong into a powerful alpha predator capable of taking down primal beasts and bosses alike.
Combat in the game will consist of charging, punching, grabbing, and finishing moves with combos to ease battles for players. As Kong, players will race through jungles racing up walls and columns before jumping from platform to platform and climbing vines before swinging from rocks and vines. There will also be various dinosaurs to fight including Velociraptors, Pterodactyls and versions of V-Rex; one of the most satisfying experiences should be taking apart their jaw.

GameMill Entertainment and publisher IguanaBee SpA have unveiled the next addition to their licensed video game portfolio based on King Kong: Skull Island: Rise of Kong is an action-adventure experience where gamers take control of Kong. Experience his full story, from beginning as an orphan through to his quest for revenge against Gaw, the ultimate predator from Saurian mythology.
Gamers will have the opportunity to unleash Kong’s full fighting potential through combo-based hand-to-hand combat against Gaw and his deadly minions, using Kong’s rage power to increase impact and effectiveness of attacks. Furthermore, this game provides various methods for gamers to earn new abilities such as special events and intense boss fights – and gamers will be rewarded accordingly!
Through their adventure, gamers will explore Skull Island. This enigmatic landscape will offer treacherous environments, exotic flora and fauna species, as well as hidden secrets waiting to be unlocked. Gamers can explore mountainous terrain, jungles, swamps, skullite-filled caves, skullite mines and skullite mines, uncovering collectibles while opening new areas on the map.
The game will also include an abundance of lethal creatures ready to strike out against any unaware adventurers, including prehistoric monsters like an enormous serpent with a mouth the size of an automobile and an unimaginably terrifying saber-toothed tiger similar to Tyrannosaurus Rex – however these deadly foes prove no match against Kong and his impressive brute force!

Developer IguanaBee and publisher GameMill Entertainment have joined forces to bring King Kong back into modern gaming through Skull Island: Rise of Kong. The third-person action-adventure will launch later this fall for PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One Series X/S and Nintendo Switch platforms, along with its debut trailer showing gameplay as well as cartoon-inspired art style.
Skull Island: Rise of Kong places players into the role of orphaned Kong as he seeks vengeance against Gaw, the saurian terror responsible for his parents’ deaths. Players will experience Kong’s journey as an apex predator of Skull Island as they battle primitive monster waves and unique bosses while traversing treacherous environments to discover its powerful plants and animals.
Gamers will experience thrilling Kong combat action through devastating combos and strategically using his rage to heighten the impact of attacks. His earth-shattering roar and vicious finishing attacks can send enemies fleeing in fear from him! Throughout special events and intense boss fights, gamers will be able to unlock special abilities to further strengthen Kong’s fighting abilities.
GameMill has not shared too much about its story yet; however, Zara did mention that it will draw heavily upon Skull Island’s rich past and be inspired by creator Joe DeVito and Merian C. Cooper’s King Kong.
