A Legend of Zelda Time-Saver

Tears of the Kingdom offers a vast, open world with plenty of player freedom – which may make getting started a daunting challenge. But don’t panic just yet: here is everything you need to know to start exploring today.

However, there are a few helpful strategies available to you for making the journey through Hyrule more easily and safely. Below is one of our favorites.

1. Fuse Items

Tears of the Kingdom introduces players to an indispensable new ability: Fuse. This mechanic allows players to combine items such as mushrooms and springs with weapons and shields in order to unlock special bonuses for weapon and shield upgrades.

Combining mushrooms and swords can add extra damage or increase reload speed, while using Forest Dweller Spears with an arrow can produce a splash effect, clearing away enemy groups or clearing rock rubble from cave entrances – the possibilities are virtually limitless!

To use the Fuse feature, simply select the weapon or shield you wish to add something onto and press Y. In order for this process to work successfully, your desired item must already be present in your inventory and on the ground – trying to fuse something off a pedestal won’t have any effect at all!

Fusing can be achieved using many items, like the Bomb Flower which can be attached to an arrow and used to launch a devastating projectile that explodes on impact. Early game Fuses also include Fire Fruits, Ice Fruits and Shock Fruits which can be combined together into arrows that deal damage or stun enemies within range.

Alternatively, if an item you have infused turns out not as desired, it is possible to dismantle and restore its original state by destructing its fused material with 20 Rupees paid at Pelison NPC in Tarrey Town.

2. Fuse Arrows

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom honors many of its predecessor’s exceptional features, like fusing items for custom weapons and shields, as a central aspect.

Players can utilize this functionality with arrows as well, adding new effects when shooting. To do this, equip a bow, draw it with ZR while aiming, then press and hold the Up button on the D-Pad – this brings up a menu of materials which can be fused onto an arrow; scroll through your options with Right Stick (R), select an item you like then use ZR to fire. Each shot then unleashes its enhanced properties upon firing making each one even deadlier than before!

Utilising this technique, players can turn an ordinary arrow into an effective weapon for taking down large groups of enemies or demolishing structures. A fire arrow created using this technique will destroy anything it hits; an arrow filled with Bomb Flowers detonates on impact – making it ideal for clearing away mobs of enemies or dispatching bosses more quickly.

Materials to fuse onto arrows include Keese eyeballs, which add elemental properties, as well as Aerocuda wings which enable more straight flight, eliminating the need to account for gravity drop when shooting from long range.

3. Fuse Materials

Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom introduced players to an innovative tool known as Fuse mechanic, which allows players to attach various items onto weapons or shields and form some of its most helpful combinations for early game use. Not only are some combinations downright funny; others can actually provide serious utility.

To fuse an item to a weapon, highlight it and press either Y or ZL button. This will open a dialogue box asking which weapon would you like the item attached to; once chosen, your base weapon will change to what ever item has been attached – regardless if this affects its effectiveness or not! To switch back, just fuse that item again with its desired weapon type.

Gibdo Bone is one of the premier fuse materials in early game. This item can be fused to any weapon to increase attack power, though its most efficient use lies with arrows as its enhanced flight distance and accuracy gives players a competitive edge when attacking enemies from distance.

Wings are another useful fuse material that can be harvested from airborne creatures in Hyrule. Attaching these wings to arrows improves their aerodynamic properties and allows them to fly straighter than usual; especially useful given that many enemies like Keese and Aerocuda fire arrows at fast speeds – these wings make long range combat much simpler!

Chuchu Jelly is an invaluable early game asset due to its multipurpose utility; not only can it increase weapon attack power but it can also be used at the Kochi Dye Shop.

4. Fuse Weapons

Tears of the Kingdom’s Fuse feature makes traversing Hyrule easier than ever, enabling players to easily make their way around this vast world. Attach items to weapons to grant them special abilities that may assist in everything from clearing away vegetation to blowing up rocky passageways.

One of the easiest and best weapons to fuse together is your sword or bow. While adventuring, you will come across various weapons that are easy to pick up but lack impactful hits; one effective method to increase their base damage quickly is attaching a spiked iron ball (found near enemy encampments or Great Sky Island) at either end. Doing this will boost any sword or bow by 15 points!

Monster Horns can also be helpful when combined with swords or bows, providing 15 points more damage per shot to any weapon you equip – perfect for taking down Phantom Ganon enemies that might prove tougher to conquer than expected in-game! Additionally, these items make great tools when attacking Phantom Ganon bosses that tend to be some of the hardest battles you face in this game!

Make sure that when combining weapons, you use only high-level items available to you – this will ensure the resulting weapons are as powerful as possible and maximize the Fuse feature in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For this, visit Tarrey Town and speak to Pelison in Goron Builder Shop; he can salvage fused weapons at his shop for only 20 Rupee fee – an extremely small price to pay to ensure your diamond weapon stays in mint condition!

5. Fuse Arrows and Materials

Tears of the Kingdom’s key new gameplay element, Fuse, allows players to combine various materials found throughout the Overworld with weapons and shields they own for enhanced weapon types and effects. To begin fusing things simply equip a weapon or shield with L held down while equipping another item – this will reveal all available items for fusing – choose which material you wish to pair it with and press either Y or ZL to activate it.

Utilizing the same techniques used to fuse weapons, Fuse can also help players augment their arrows – particularly during early game encounters against enemies that require long-range attacks for takedown. Arrows play an integral part in solving some puzzles within the game and even its main story arcs.

To fuse an arrow, draw back and aim like normal before pressing and holding ZR and Up on the D-pad to access a list of materials available for fusing onto your arrows. Select one and release Up directional button – your material is now attached to your arrow and will explode upon impact to deal damage or stun enemies!

Arrows in Tears of the Kingdom can be fused with various materials for added effects. Fusing an arrow with an Aerocuda Wing makes it fly much further, which can come in handy when trying to hit monsters from elevated platforms or at distance.
